The most frequent side effects are chest tightness, palpitations, fatigue, nausea, muscle soreness and hot sensation in the body.
Eletriptan must not be used if you have previously had a blood clot in the brain or heart or have very high blood pressure.
Eletriptan should be taken at most 2 times a day and a maximum of 9 days a month to avoid medication overuse headaches.
